News from 2017 Mini-Grant awardee Shebana Coehlo –
A YES FROM PBS
Some wonderful news, dear friends: Just two weeks ago, we showed a full rough cut of Nasario remembers the Rio Puerco to New Mexico PBS. We met with Joan Rebecchi, Director of Content & Kevin McDonald, Production Manager. We’re ecstatic to share – the official line they told us: “New Mexico PBS has indicated that it will broadcast the documentary, Nasario remembers the Río Puerco in October 2017 within Hispanic Heritage month.” Once we have a broadcast date, we’ll share it with you. What especially moved us was the conversation afterwards, about the power of Nasario García’s stories, & our common longing for home & the different ways it defines us. These are the kinds of thoughtful conversations we hope the film will continue to inspire. Visit www.nasarioremembers.com to learn more.
